Introducing Magenta Plains

Dear friends and colleagues,
I'm incredibly pleased to announce that I have joined Magenta Plains as the Director.
Magenta Plains is a new contemporary art gallery run by Chris Dorland, David Deutsch and myself. With an emphasis on community, history, and newly emerging art, the gallery's mission is to foster context and meaning for the development of new ideas as well as to present and preserve older generations' of artist work.
Please join me Thursday, March 17, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the opening reception for our two inaugural shows:

Magenta Plains is pleased to present WILLIAM WEGMAN, an exhibition consisting of works on paper from the '70s, '80s, and one recent painting in conjunction with William Wegman: Postcard Paintings at Sperone Westwater.

Magenta Plains is pleased to present TREVOR SHIMIZU at 95 Orchard Street, an exhibition in conversation with WILLIAM WEGMAN on view in the main gallery at 94 Allen Street. The exhibition is visible at all times from Orchard Street.
